Service Next™ is a remote management system developed by us for Chiller manufactured cold-water stations, water chillers and heat pumps. The system is revolutionizing the equipment optimization, monitoring and life-cycle management.
We have developed a web-based remote management system, which can monitor customers device functionality in real-time, preventing the emergenge of hardware failures and optimize the device for the best possible coefficient of efficiency range. We have found in practise that when a mechanic goes to a field for commissioning or servicing a plant, it is often hopelessly incomplete. Plant coefficient of efficiency remains often low because it can never be tuned right for proper individual property level load range under different conditions. Fine tuning often also requires theoretical knowledge, which is unfortunately not always possible to transfer to the service personnel on field. Service Next™ allows device´s final tuning to be made from office by using a computer. Our new units are equipped with communications card already in place, customer just needs to arrange the Internet connection to engine room and remote management connection is ready to use. Old units can also be equipped with communication capabilities reasonably easy. The system is extremely low cost and gained benefits are remarkable.
Our system does not require a separate monitoring software because all the software is embedded and running on communications interface card and information receiving host server. Data access is possible around the globe and it is completely independent of time and place.
Information security as essential core issue
It took us over 3 years to transfer our knowledge of the refridgeration technology into bits and bytes, taking into account information security issues and developing data communications application solution with all the testing and prototype phases included. Web-based user interface is very simple. Users log in to the system with their personal user specific indentification codes. Connection between browser and server is secured with robust enterprise grade encryption, which makes it completely safe. Customer needs only a commonly used web-browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Internet Explorer. Also because of lightweight communication protocol design data transfer does not overload or interfere customer´s own network usage.

Within the framework of our service agreements, we can generate reports about: energy consumption, maintenance requirements, software updates, refrigerant leaks , utilization rates etc. To support life-cycle management system all of the system events are recorded/logged into a database, such as failures/alarms, maintenance reports, set point changes, etc. Recorded/logged events can be viewed at anytime anywhere. A significant part of the faults can be fixed remotely. Alarms can be forwarded to email and/or mobile phone by SMS messages for necessary user groups.
The measurements are stored in a database and can therefore be analyzed retrospectively. Only by measuring and analyzing we are able to make economic measurements. By optimization only substantial energy savings can be made without any additional investments.
